Grant Advising and Editing
I have received fellowships from such prestigious institutions as the Fulbright Program and the National Endowment for the Arts. As an independent artist, finding available grants, and articulating how a given grant would benefit one’s work can be tricky. When students and academics apply for grants, their universities have a designated faculty member whose job it is to offer advice; independent artists often don’t have access to such services. Furthermore, grant advisors at universities may not know how to advise alumni who are professional artists.
I am available to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years, and to help formulate and edit proposals, both for other writers and translators, but also for artists and academics from other disciplines, who may not have as much experience writing as I do.
